#46: Own a car that is newer than the 1900s

#46 on the DREAM LIST

We are happy to announce we have finally made it to the 21st century!! Both of our old cars were crapping out and we needed some new wheels. Problem was, neither of us had a job the last few years because well...cancer. And turns out starting a business was more expensive than we thought! (Plus we spend all the money on kids!).

I (Brianna) had an old Hyundai station wagon that I bought from a dead guy on Craigslist for $1000. It was good to me, and I put 100,000 miles on it. When Kristine got embarrassed about pulling up to galas and fancy things we were invited to, I always said "it builds character!" And it did. But it was on it's last string.

And the brakes on Kristine's old Chevy stopped working. So that was kinda a problem.

Sooo...how'd we get a car newer then the 1900's with no money? Well, remember the van story? Long story short, we had that at this point, but someone fell asleep at the wheel on the highway, hit and totaled our van. Miracle no one was hurt! And from the insurance from the van, we were able to get...

The JOASTER! (it's like a cross between a Jeep and a toaster. Also known as the Honda Element) And we looooove it! Another sketchy Craigslist find, but so far so good! Cool thing is...when we told the Kaplan's about it (again, van story!), they said Jake had talked about wanting a Honda Element. Crazy how that worked out, and we know Jake and Jason are still with us with every ride, and sure they had something to do with this!
